The Sidedeck of this Format: 10 more Possible Choices

Here are 10 more possible choices for cards to use in a sidedeck for the remainder of the format:

Hanewata - Discard it from the hand to negate damage for a turn. Use only against Frog FTK.

King Tiger Wanghu - Destroys monstes with 1400 ATK and less. Attacks the heart of many top tier decks.

Consecrated Light - Stops Blackwings and Infernities completely.

Lightning Vortex - This card can come in handy against decks that swarm, particularily X-Sabers and Blackwings. Against some decks though, this card is unaffective, and thats why i don't main-deck it anymore.

Royal Oppression - If you use a deck that doesn't rely on special summoning a whole lot, then you should use this card. It stops deck that need to special summon in order to survive, which is quite a few of them.

Tuner's Scheme - Stealing your opponent's synchro monsters... it is just good.

Hero's Rule 2 - Negates anything that targets a card in the graveyard. It's particular but useful. Stops Infernity Launcher, Call of the Haunted and more.

Magic Drain - A choice against Infernities. It stops the Launcher unless they can discard a spell in the hand, which probably won't happen.

Banisher of the Radiance - If you playing a deck that isn't depending on the graveyard a ton, like gadgets and gladiator beasts, you might as well be able to ruin your opponents' graveyard plays.

Fissure - Surprisingly, it's not bad. It can destroyed those little monsters your opponent need, and destroys anything that could be in your way, particularily Consecrated Light.

Possibly a third post on the way.

Yay for idiots!

Jon here.

Okay...so I'm play testing a new deck idea last night, chaos sphere cyclone...and I go up against a kid using a Pyschic deck.

He's about to scoop when I have to tell him to use his Pyschic Borg to remove two monsters to pump it up to 2500.
He does so. And even uses Snail to attack over both my Armed Wing and Dark End.
But he also plays Brain Research Lab. That field spell that accumulates counters in place of paying life points for using Pyschic effects.
He gains two counters that turn.
I set Dandy. Going for Black Rose once he has 4 counters and burn him for 4000 damage using his own field spell.
Perfectly solid plan, Im still at 7100 and as far as I know he doesnt have Twin Sword Maurader or something ghey to screw me over.
He summons Commander, doesnt synchro, instead continues to use its effect whenever his monster battles my floaters, accumulating 5 counters in total on his field spell.
Which was an illegal move because that activates during the damage step and a field spell has no where near high enough spell speed. But it was fine, wouldnt have changed the outcome, as I was planning to Black Rose then summon Armed Wing to attack for game.

Now Im thinking, great, game is mine, he has one face down, but even if he stops my Black Rose, I can fall back on other strategies using tokens and whatever I draw from Pot of Avarice.
Debris Dragon normal summoned. Okay.
Dandylion summoned. Okay
Synchro! Black Rose Dragon! Nuke!

He chains spell of pain.
"When a card effect ACTIVATES (key word kids) that deals damage to your life points, inflict that same amount on your opponent instead."
Hm. I see where he was going with this, and I believe the field spell's adverse burn effect doesnt 'activate' when it leaves the field, it just kind of...happens.

http://yugioh.wikia.com/wiki/Card_Rulings:Brain_Research_Lab

None of the effects start a chain.

But this kid still chains Spell of Pain, trying to burn me for 5000 damage, which wouldnt have killed me, but would have killed him.
Just for argument's sake, even if he could have chained spell of pain to his field spell, the timing of the activation is when it LEAVES the field. When Black Rose resolves it destroys ALL cards. Therefore, the timing when the field spell activates, Spell of Pain is no longer on the field!
Yet he persists to argue that I am taking 5000 damage.
Little moron.
Every time I say something he cried, "Lies!" (>.<)
I explain every part of the chain, exactly what happens and the exact order of events.
Black Rose.
Boom.
No field at all.
Your field spell then burns you and at this point, no Spell of Pain. No!

Now...his best argument to counter the rules of this game was this:

"Hurr durr derpa Black Rose is like a meteor and herpa derp meteors destroy the FIELD before anything else! Hurradurrrrpa therefore I can use my spell card!"

He equated my BlackRose TRADING CARD to a meteor.
Physical meteor, not Meteor of destruction, the spell, actual space rock.
And not even meteorite, which is the actual rock as it connects with the earth, but meteor, the beam of visible light announcing the entrance of a meteoroid has entered the atmosphere.
Well, obviously, at this point I had no choice but to concede to this little prick. His intelligence and superb stragety completely overwhelmed me and I had to admit defeat.

Derp.

Tournament Report #3

Jonathan here!
'Nother tournament here.

It was a big one, some Ryan O kid who was really popular visited the card shop.
So there were a few other people who said they had quit the game coming in to play.

Round 1: vs Cyberbond (Andrew)
oo

Game 1: Drill tactics and he allowed me to drop a gorz. Too much damage and he couldnt stop it.
Game 2: Was able to summon a LaDD but he pulled off some cool moves dropping it to 800 after summoning Cyber Eltanin. But I took control of it with Econ and hit directly for game.

Round 2: vs Traps and D.D Exiled (Zack)
oo

Game 1: Junk destroyer took out several of his cards, he kept using exiled force on my Ryko.
But the thing is, he'd use it like a spell card and normal summon right after (>.<)
I didnt catch this, but all his monsters were messed up and I pushed for game.
Game 2: Trap hole! This card seriously messes up plays! He used on my debris dragon when I went for StarDestroyer. (I should do a post with all my favorite combos...Iron Maiden, Fairy Princess, StarDestroyer, Infinite Pressure, etc)
I still won though.

Round 3: vs ...frog ftk... (Josh)
xx

Game 1 and 2: This isn't even a deck. You pretty much have to lose first round in order to side D.D. and crevice. But I didnt draw any of it. He pretty much won first turn every time.

Round 4: vs Standard Quickdraw (Mitch)
oo

Game 1 and 2: This guy has never beaten me. In fact, every time we duel he seems to act like, "Lets get this over with" and it's really annoying.

So, 3-1 with Frog FTK back points.
I made top 4 with:

David Bui and Crapfernities
Josh Tremere and Frog FTK
Ryan Orouke and Glad Beasts! He did very well Saturday!
and me.

Match 1 vs Bui
xx
Game 1 and 2: I actually did very well, making the best moves I could, but I left a Gorz on the field with 1100 LP and took the burn from Infernity Doom Dragon for game 2.

Match 2 vs Josh
xx
Game 1 and 2: Goddamn FTK. I drew the sided cards, but he still got around them.
Screw this.
There's only going to be another deck like this next format and the format after that.
Mario wants to make this deck. I say no. With my fist.

$10 store credit. Blah.
Lightsworn trades. Blah.

The Sidedeck of the Format: 10 Possible Choices

It is Mario time.

So this format of ours is still going to be going on for a bit. Eveeryone needs a sidedeck to deal with this format's major threats. So i'll go through a list of cards that you could consider putting in a sidedeck and why.

D.D. Crow - Discard it from the hand to remove from play a card in the opponent's graveyard. Screws up a lot of decks and their strategies. It's almost impossible to stop as well.

Crevice from the Different Dimension - Select an attribute and remove up to 2 monsters in either player's graveyard with that attribute. It's a little slow but it removes 2 monsters so it does twice as much as the crow.

Mind Crush - It can screw up X-Sabers (choose the moster brought to the hand with Darksoul), Blackwings (monsters supplied with Black Whrilwind), and other strategies.

Nobleman of Crossout - This is a format where people like to set monsters, especially early in the game. This card gets rid of them. If your get rid of a Ryko or a Hamster, they all go as well!

Mask of Restrict - Stops any tributes. Stops monarchs which are popular this format and any other tributes at all.

Cyber Dragon - It baits out Bottomless Trap Holes to start. It can beat those spys and hamsters. If your opponent is playing machines (particularily gadgets or machina gadgets), then you can summon a Chimeratech Fortress Dragon.

Thunder King Rai-Oh - Cards can't go from the deck to the hand except drawing, and can negate 1 special summon. It kills Blackwings, X-Sabers, Infernities. Need i say more?

Starlight Road - I did an article on this card so just look at that.

Gottoms' Emergency Call -If your opponent has an X-Saber monster on the field, you get 2 from their graveyard. Lots of things to do with those monsters.

Dark Bribe - This final choice is interesting against infernities. Negates a spell or trap and forces the opponent to draw. It could mess up the infernity player if they can't get rid of the card in their hand.

These are my first 10. I will post another article in a few days explaining some more choices. Until then, have fun.

Orange is a good color!

If I die and my tombstone reads, "Orange Sleeve Guy", I would have no regrets.

So today I was dueling Mario. More Dandywarrior mirrors with Mario's fancy tech vs my control variant!
He used Trade-In and Recharge!
Ahah it was nuts.

Anyways, halfway through our games a couple of his friends showed up. One was Zy and the other was...?
I was properly introduced and already forget one of their names! I have the worst memory for that.
I might want to work on that or I'll start to suck at this game.
Nevermind social interaction, if the card skills suffer, I suffer...

Well, Zy looked at my deck and exclaimed, "IT'S THE ORANGE SLEEVE GUY!"
"HE'S IN ALL YOUR VIDEOS!"

But theres something with orange and I...my sleevs are orange, my binder is orange, this blog at the moment has orange in it, AND DANDYLION IS ORANGE?!
Harrbbagah!

He was so excited to see me in person it was pretty funny aha.
Unfortunately I have to buy new sleeves for locals this saturday, mine are falling apart!
I hope it isn't too heart breaking.

For the record, he's a cool kid, Im not making fun!

Remembering the Good Ol' Days

Mario here.

Did you miss me? I was in Cornwall boring my eyes out. But now i'm back so it's blogging time.

As expected, my first day back from the trip, Yu-Gi-Oh! was involved. I was with a friend and he hasn't played the game in years, so he thought all the old cards were better than the new stuff. So we tested that theory.

He made a deck based on fusion summoning blue-eyes ultimate dragon and dragon master knight (because it is cool). lot's of fusion support in there too, king of the swamps for example. once the deck was built, he played against my quickdraw dandywarrior.

We had two matches. I won both 2-0, and the only damage i took was 1000 points in our final game.

In conclusion, he admitted the new cards are where it's at. Good day.

Tournament Report #2

So! Another tournament.
Very small though. It actually sucked.

4 rounds then top 4

Deck Used: Dandy Control (again)
Its the most consitent deck Ive got at the moment because
finding all the cards I need for other decks are a huge pain
due to the lack of players actually owning decent cards.

Round 1 vs Skull Servant King Zombies (Mac)
oo

Game 1: Dropped his Zombie Red Eyes with Call of the Mummy or whatever
That was his only decent card and I used Caius.
Then waited for him to commit all his cards to the field - Cold Wave - Blackrose
Game 2: Junk Destroyer...double Caius...he had nothing to come back with.

Round 2 vs Blackwings (Nic)
oxo
Game 1: StarDestroyer combo because I used cold wave. He had Shura on field and Kalut in hand.
He couldnt come back after that he didnt draw anything I couldnt counter.
Game 2: He pierced through Treeborn with Bora + Kalut. It sucked.
Game 3: Sided Holy Light. Played it, ran over it with Cyber Dragon...guh...he mained it.
So I lose 2100. And I was struggling most of the match, he used Icarus on my tuners when I tried to use StarDestroyer again lol. Can't use the same move twice!
He almost had me when he released Bora for his Sirrocco and third dark.
Summon Dark Armed and tried to hit for game when I dropped my only Battle Fader!
Only one in my deck and it works wonderfully.
I think I used Junk Destroyer and Cold wave to defeat him.

Round 3: vs Standard Dandywarrior (Mitch)
oo
Game 1 and 2: Dont know why, but this guy just did nothing. He'd set book and not hit my tuner with it. He'd end his turn without playing anything.
And I just defeated him in two or three turns.
It was a really unsavory match.

Round 4: vs Lightsworns (Roy)
oxo

One of the only good decks there and unfortunately it was incomplete
and it seems the guy didnt know how to run it very well. He never used Judgement's ability
to wipe the field and he'd charge a Lyla only to ditch it for recharge, milling his avarice, mirror force, the occasional Wulf, etc.

Game 1: Forget. I think he used beckoning on a five card hand with Gorz in it in order to return 5 lights. There were only three in the grave at the time and two were Wulfs.
Game 2: Lost to Wulfs and Celestia swarm.
Game 3: Crows and Crevice ruined his plays.

So.
4 wins. No losses.
Top 4 was:

Me
Quickdraw Control
Josh (Running the only other good deck at the tourny)
Frognarchs
Roy
Lightsworns
Bobby
He used a deck that was just thrown together by a kid who's actually a good player
but only recently back into the game.
Some good one for one's like Compulsory and Shrink for the damage step.

Round 1: So, first round in top four swiss I play Bobby
oo
Game 1: He used his only Nobleman on my set Ryko. It was really surprising and I was worried about getting hit with it again when I set dandy. I had some bad hands, but he hit me directly with nitro warrior before his breaker! So I was able to drop Gorz and a 2800 token. Next turn, Cyclone his trap, compulsory was chained on my 2800 token. So I used Controller to tribute it for his Nitro. Hit for some juicy damage and then dropped Light and Darkness.
He had the chance to drain it with Quickdraw in his hand (because you dont discard until resolution so you could continue to attempt to summon it with no cost) but he didnt take advantage of this and lost to LaDD beats.

Game 2: Cauis after Ryko after Cauis and a rush of monsters at the end for game.
I just waited for him to commit all his cards to the field but he kept using Vally to draw 2. So I didnt want to use a card from my 6 card hand when he could have a response.
I just bided my time. Tribute summoning Tytannial as well with two tokens to spare.

Round 2: Lightsworns! Again!
oxo
Game 1: He overcommits. Drops two Judgement at once. But here was the thing, he could've beat me game 1 and taken the match. He had two Judgement and a way to make Goyo.
But his doesnt clear the field with the first Judgement! He just plays two, summons Goyo, steals Caius and double direct with Judgement. 400 LP left. He mills 8 and is left with 4 cards.
I drop Debris - Dandy - Black Rose.
He has nothing in hand or on the field.
Draws, does nothing.
I draw, set Morphing Jar to deck him out.
He attacks it. Game.

Game 2: Uhm...I think...I lost to...something...JD?
Probably.

Game 3: He over commits, I use Junk Destroyer. I didnt bother siding this time, so no D.D. crap.

So I won 1st place. Out of a bunch of guys who the majority of don't really know how to play.
I had to explain spell speed to Mac...guh.
Roy is a good player, just needs to read his cards.
Josh got SHITTY hands lol.
Triple Enemy controller and Triple Soul Exchange in one hand.
I mean, there are combos with that to ruin the opponents field of monsters, but still,
there's nothing to do with that.
So he's switching to GB's or Infernities or something.
I hope he goes to Crap-ferninites, they're easier to side against!

Got $25 store credit.
Picked up a Plague. Best part of the tourny.
Gonna save up store credit over the next while, might buy that secret Judgement off the local card shop.

New Cards! Deck Idea! Go Chaos Quickdraw Cyclone Synchro!

Hidden Arsenal 2 is out in a few days!
Won't get it until the following Friday as that is when the local Card Shop gets his shipments.

Im really looking forward to the Naturia, they're going to be fun to play lol
Genex seems interesting. Might have some potential mixed with other decks, I mean, the Element Synchroes look like fun to play.
Also, from the look of the Japanese cards they seem to work well with Ally of Justice monsters.
Weak against Cyber Dragon and System Down.
But oh well.
Just use DIVINE WARNING!

The new Solemn Judgement! Only not as good because it has a set cost. Meaning it is a dead draw late game!
But people still want to run three, because nothing is better
than a negator!

Ahhh...limericks... :]

I have a problem with running three of any card, so I'll probably stick two in my deck.
In place of Cold Wave (which seems like it might get banned) and something else.

I want Lightsworn Monsters! But they are still $30 a piece for the more aggressive ones!
Ehren, Lyla, Celestia and Judgement! Judgement!

Deck Idea!

Sphere of Chaos
Searches level 3s
Dandylion is LEVEL 3
Chaos End Master LEVEL 3
Lonefire LEVEL 3

Combos
Normal Genex Neutron
Search Quickdraw
Provided Neutron survives
Tribute it next turn for Sphere
Search Dandy
Drill Warrior Out!

Summon Chaos End
Destroy a monster with Honest or just by plain battle
Summon Quickdraw or Sphere!
Quickdraw if token is present
or Sphere to synchro a level 8!

Hopefully Ally Genex Birdman comes out, it would make a great addition to the deck!

The Birthday: Gold and Duels

Mario here.

Well, yesterday was my birthday. And it wasn't that bad. The best thing about it was hanging out with Jon. So here's the story.

Jon comes in and has this Giant Tiger bag full of 4 Gold Series 3 packs. I was thinking to myself, wow, did he go nuts! But then I found out that since it was my birthday, 2 of the 4 were for me. Then I was like, wow someone spent $50 on me... on cards. Anyways, he opened his 2 packs first. The 6 golds were 2 Infernity Archfiends, Plaguespreader Zombie, Dimensional Alchemist, My Body as a Shield and Blackwing Armed Wing. Then I opened my 2, the golds were Exploder Dragon, Smashing Ground, Thunder King Rai Oh, Elemental Hero Prisma, Icarus Attack, and a Blackwing Armed Wing. So I was thinking to myself "not half-bad". But then it got better when Jon said I could take half of his. And i was surprised, I might have had fireworks going off in my head. Anyways, I picked the Plaguespreader Zombie, My Body as a Shield and Infernity Archfiend. That was as far as presents went (except for later in the day where Jon gave me a Power Tool Dragon for free because he had 4...), but a bunch of great presents.

After some trading and such, we started dueling. Going from Quickdraw Dandywarrior to Frognarchs back to a different Quickdraw Dandywarrior build for me. Jon starting with Quickdraw Dandywarrior to Gigavise, back to a Quickdraw Dandywarrior build. I won more matches at the end of the day, I dont even remember just how many matches we had, but yeah it was all good. For those 4 hours of card activity, it was a happy birthday.

It's a me, a Mario! Birthday Surprises from the Stars!

Mario here (For once)!

So if you haven't yet guessed, my name is Mario. I personally think it's a plus to have the name of the most popular video game super hero in existance. Sometimes I get made fun of, but others respect me and me sound like a super hero most of the time, because I am in a sense. I help others whenever I can, even though people don't help me....

Anyways, a little bit about my personality. On a good day, you can compare to a wall. I'm fairly neutral and unless i'm hanging out with someone or helping someone else, I do pretty much nothing, and then nothing really phases me. However, when something phases me, 99.9% of the time it's negative, and this is when we get to a bad day. On a bad day, you can compare me to that oil spill somewhere in the world. Once I go, I don't stop. It's kind of sad either. I'm just steaming pile of blah.

Now, as you may have guessed, I like Yu-Gi-Oh! But as Jon stated in our first person, we live in the middle of nowhere, which means we don't have many people of our skill level in our area. They are mostly little kids or people with mental problems. We have a few good friends though so it's not like we are completely screwed.

TODAY IS MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah, it's my birthday. I'm turning 18. I have nothing better to do then to write this article right now, until later when I'm playing cards with Jon, and it's possible I might write an article about our struggles today. I have nothing better to do on my birthday so I'm playing cards with Jon XD. But he's a cool guy so all in all, it won't be a terrible birthday.

Now I'm going to talk about a card that's always on mind. Some people think it's a gift from above, and some think it's a waste of paper (shiny paper). And personally, after all my 10 billion deck ideas, after each one, this card is always considered just because it's so strange. That card is Starlight Road.

For those who don't know, it negates any card that destroys 2 or more of your cards and destroys it. Then you get a Stardust Dragon. Some people think it's good because it negates something big and then you get a free Stardust Dragon. Some people think it's bad because the Stardust Dragon that was special summoned can only use its effect once, and then it stays in the graveyard because it was synchro summoned.

How can you play this card effectively? Well, against decks like Gadgets and Monarchs, it is a waste of paper with all of their 1 for 1 cards and monarchs. You should stick it back in your sidedeck and put something like a Pulling the Rug to replace it. This card is however good against Blackwings for Icarus Attack, and X-Sabers for Hyunlei. Keep in mind it also stops the big bad traps that no one likes against them (Mirror Force and Torrential Tribute and I guess sometimes Bottomless Trap Hole).

All in all, I don't think it's a bad card. You just have to use it against deck that destroys more than 1 card at a time. If not then side it for something else. Anyways I'm done my first post. Thanks for reading.

New Videos

Jon here!

Some videos of me winning because Infernity deck can't top a launcher.
And then losing to Infernity getting a launcher.
One card.
This game is ridiculous lol. :P
This is a two deck format again (Crap-fernities and x-sabers) which brings me to my next point:
Im sick and tired of people just complaining about EVERY format.

You may think Im complaining calling the Crap-Fernities, but I just don't like the deck ahah.

Oh...man...this format sucks! 3 DaDs...I can't have fun...the META is so broken....blah blah.

There are the same complaints every format.
You know who don't complain?!
The people who run the decks Konami DESIGNED to top!
I mean, seriously, you're still running Junk and Debris? Or Gladiator Beasts? Or Elemental Heroes or something?
I mean, each deck is good if built well and played well.
But some just can't compete with the decks that were designed to be much better.

Just... get smarter people!
Stop whining and either build a top-tier deck, a stun removal deck, or use your knowledge of the game and if you're good enough you can use 30-40 of the THOUSANDS OF CARDS AVAILABLE to create a deck that is better than all the rest.

X-Sabers vs Infernity

X-Sabers. I played them a couple times and have seen them played.
Why do they keep winning? I'd have to check up on that.
I can see all the obvious bonuses. Darksoul search and Faultroll(?) Special summoning itself and one from the grave.
The hand destruction loop is nasty as well.
But it sounds like they just over extend and set a bunch of spells and traps.

Saber Slash is a nasty card though. I really like that one.

Infernities on the other hand...they heck.
3 traps to dump two in the grave.
So many ways of summoning that archfiend from the grave
And then boom, gun loop.
Unless you get really lucky and they draw all monsters
Or you draw those sided Crevices or Crows
Its just really hard to beat them.
A good method is to get REALLY aggressive.
I mean, just over extend like crazy.
I mean, what does it matter? It's an OTK deck, if they pull that combo off and you have no answer? Well, you might as well push for as much damage as you can.

Crap-fernities and X-Sabers.
Bah to arche-types.

Tournament Report #1

So both of us went!
Only I played though because Mario was supposed to leave for 2:30 or whatever to teach tennis.
And then his only class got cancelled. At one. Locals start at twelve. Baha!

He's probably going to read this but oh well.
Baha!

Deck used -- Quickdraw Control
Monarchs
LaDD
Treeborn
Tytannial
Good build, pretty consistant.

Well
Round 1 -- Machina Starter Deck with other cards thrown in
oo

Games 1-2
Played a little kid with a 60 card deck.
I just beat him. But as NICELY as I could. Monster rushly.

Round 2 -- X-Sabers!!
xoo

Game 1
He kept pushing, managed to grab two or three cards from my hand with that big Level 9 guy.
I owned that card once. I cant remember what it's called.
Tried to Turbo Cannon it dead but he used oppression.
Couldn't come back after that and he had me.
Game 2
Set Ryko, set back row bottomless. Same as first move last game.
He double sets and throws that $80 recruiter down.
I draw, he uses mask of restrict, I ryko that, hit his face down with Cauis.
He draws crap, anything good I had a response for.
I won that one.
Game 3
He triple sets and I heavy.
I keep getting plusses off and he scoops.

Round 3 -- Frognarchs!
oxo

Game 1
This guy gets frustrated lol.
He's a friend of mine so I guess that saved me from a punch in the face.
But I open up Drill Warrior. Effectively making LaDD useless.
I also put a frog in the grave. He be maaad.
So I won that game. He couldnt get his fader out first turn but I used Turbo Cannon on it.
Game 2
I let him drop a Gorz with a 2400/2400 token, then he dropped another Monarch.
That was too much damage.
Game 3
Kept the pressure on. Frogs in my grave. Got crowed. Both treeborns in his grave got creviced and as soon as that happenned his game went way down hill. I never gave him a chance to Fader, so he never dropped a Monarch and I just dropped a Tytannial with a face down dandylion.

Round 4 -- GRAVEKEEPERS?! lol I got paired down but it was actually a terrible pairing for Drill Warrior.
xoo

Game 1
@#$%&* NECRO VALLEY!?
Game 2
TAKE AIUS YOU CRAP VALLEY!
Game 3
I got LaDD out and negated his crap with he just kept using. He pulled his worst moves out after LaDD hit the field.
He got it down to 1300, summoned a spear solder (no valley so at 1500) and then dropped a DaD! He just attacked into my LaDD with soldier. I summoned Dandy. He killed it with DaD then blew up the tokens in Main two.
He WAY over extended so he had zero in hand while I had six.
Dandy for Quickdraw, normal Frog --> Detroyer, 2600 direct.
He couldn't recover. But top-decked a torrential when I tried to Caius that last 800. Still won though.

Top 4!
So, I really wanted to play, see if I could take that 1st place because all I do is split when I hit top 2 because I get TIRED! (>.<)
But we split four ways. There were 20 players alone! It was hot!
I was sweaty and tired!
And if I wanted to play, Id force the other three to play and I would've just felt guilty.
So $23 credit. Got gold three. Icarus and Armor Master. Frigging Mezuki. Bah that card.
But traded the Icarus and Amor Master for Charge and Recharge x2. Worth it?

I'll probably put a deck list in the next post.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So ideas!
Synchro Sworn with tuners that like the grave? But still using Quickdraw?
I'd like to run it, but Im finding the monster count to be WAY up there. 30. Thats a bit much.
Id like to have at the most 25-26.

Amarryllis burn.
Seed Cannon
Spiritual Fire Art
Ceasfire
BIG DAMAGE.
Only a fun deck though. Not much field pressence with a 2200/0 Monster.
Trade-In bait though. Draw POWAH.

Koaki Meiru?
Still seems like a really awkward deck.
LOTS of negs.

NATURIA!
PERFECT LOCKDOWN!
I hope it comes to Canada.
That and Trishula.
Watched the self touch session with Baha?! 5 Trishulas in one turn! ONE!
I for one thought that was pretty damn sexy.

dragunity looks cool too...

oh! Vayu Turbo with Quickdraw?
Rykos and Quickdraw put your vayus in the grave fast!
Yes? Get over that intial -1 of the Drill with an Armor Master!

Big post.
Thanks for toughin' this one out!

I want to make a good deck!

(Its Jon!)

Plus, minus, special summon, speed, destruction and field/hand control.

'Tis the formula of a good deck!
In my opinion anyways. I guess if you can stick to your strategy while dilluting your opponent's then that also makes a good deck.
But when I have more than twenty billion ideas, and no TIME TO PLAYTEST BEFORE LOCALS TOMMORROW?!
Grr.
I want a strong, fun deck.
More videos of should come soon, I'll use my ideas there.

First Post! Local Dueling and Rage over the Japanese having all the best cards first.

Its Jonathan! Mario and I will take turns posting I guess.
He doesn't know I've made a blog for he is in Toronto all day.

So I live in small, small, unfairly small town in Canada and to say the least the local duelists are mostly terrible or literally have mental defiencies. I'm not bashing them for that, just saying, I have to get out of this town for bigger tournaments.
I do know some good players. So, it's not all bad haha.

Needless to say, dueling would be a lot more fun if there were more people who were actually interested in the game (BECAUSE I KNOW YOU EXIST) would actually go to the locals I freaking tell them about. Also, if my parents would stop telling me that I will end up a bum in a ditch because I like cards.

TCG!
OCG!
UNFAIRCG!

It is a little ridiculous that all the cards have to be printed in Japan and then we have to wait several months to forever to get the cards ourselves. Ah well. I've heard its a different game over there too.

PEOPLE PLAY FOR FUN?!
Like, holy crap. It's fun over there, no body freaks out, or cries, or is constantly suspicious of stacking, or making rude comments about the other player, or just WAITING for that oppurtunity to call the judge and make a fool of you. Never mind playing the game. Just get that damn judge over.
Well...yeah...gamer rage is a topic for another day.
Thanks for reading.

Oh! We also have a channel.
