Hi guys Michael here to provide you all with my Analysis of the top 4 Skill Drain Heroes deck from YCS Long Beach.
So YCS Long Beach was won by Darkworlds as I am sure you all know by now. The top 4 was perhaps one of the most varied top 4 I have seen in a long time, with Darkworld Heroes and Chaos Piper builds joining Dino Rabbit in the top 4.
Here is Joesph Giorlando's Skill Drain Heroes deck
3 Elemental HERO Neos Alius
2 Beast King Barbaros
2 Thunder King Rai-Oh
1 Elemental HERO Stratos
1 Crusader of Endymion
3 Miracle Fusion
3 Gemini Spark
3 Pot of Duality
2 E-Emergency Call
1 Book of Moon
1 Heavy Storm
1 Dark Hole
1 Monster Reborn
1 Reinforcements of the Army
2 Skill Drain
2 Solemn Warning
2 Dimensional Prison
2 Dark Bribe
2 Torrential Tribute
2 Hero Blast
1 Mirror Force
1 Solemn Judgment
1 Starlight Road
Side
3 Snowman Eater
2 Maxx C
2 Forbidden Chalice
2 Smashing Ground
2 Super Polymerization
2 Mystical Space Typhoon
2 Shadow Imprisoning Mirror
Extra
3 Elemental HERO The Shining
2 Elemental HERO Zero
2 Elemental HERO Nova Master
1 Elemental HERO Great Tornado
1 Elemental HERO Gaia
1 Wind-up Zenmaines
1 Number 30: Acid Golemn of Destruction
1 Blade Armor Ninja
1 Number c39: Utopia Ray
1 Number 39: Utopia
1 Stardust Dragon
This deck is perhaps of the most interesting builds I have seen, with some interesting ideas and amazing deck choices. On the other hand the deck is lacking certain things that i feel keep Joesph from the top spot, however first things i will explain the choices he made that i liked.
1. Beast King Barbaros
This makes me very nostalgic for the days of Little City, one of the first Hero decks to run skill drain. Barbaros was a staple in this deck because of his 3000 attack in a deck that also ran 3 2100 attackers in Elemental HERO Captain Gold. Over all a solid choice since Skill Drain is shutting down Dino Rabbit and Inzektors making it hard for your opponent to easily produce a monster that can match Barbaros in attack power.
2. Skill Drain
I myself side deck Skill Drain, but i also play in a smaller meta. In a big tournament Skill Drain will win you games as it will shut down your opponents effects while in this deck not hurting any of yours as your only monsters effect you need is Stratos, I myself will be testing Skill Drain in the main board heading into the Montreal Regional April 21.
3. Forbidden Chalice
I myself had completely forgotten this card was even out as i find Lance tends to overshadow it. Chalice is a nice one turn Skill Drain if you didn't draw 1 and also serves as attack increase for your 1900 monsters allowing them to run over some bigger threats.
4. No Effect Veiler
This may seem odd to most but i am actually a fan of the lack of this hand trap in the deck. Veiler is not necessary in a Skill Drain build at all as your Skill drains will already be doing Veiler's job. Not having to run this in the deck gave Giorlando open spots for more protection cards like Dimensional Prison.
Now as much as i myself liked these choices, there are a few things in this deck that i really don't like at all.
1. No Main Deck Super Polymerization
Mario and I were discussing this alot today and neither one of us could think of a reason not to run this card. I can see that's it kind of a dead draw against dark based decks like Darkworld and Inzektors, its amazing against the Dino Rabbit match up. Against Dino Rabbits you one hundred percent need that first game win, its crucial as the deck will explode on you in game 2, then leaving you the first turn going into game 3. Super Poly helps you net that first game win by removing your opponents Dolkka/Laggia from the field with ease.
2. No Main Deck Mystical Space Typhoon
This seemed like a odd choice to me as it severely limited the ability to make a big rush. Spell and Trap destruction is a big thing in this game and i don't see having 1 lone Heavy Storm in this deck is gonna allow you to make those big rushes. Plus Mystical Space Typhoon cant be negated with Starlight Road a card that has spiked in play in a format with Dark Hole, Heavy Storm, Mirror Force and two Torrential Tributes.
3. Crusader of Endymion over Evocator Chevalier
This is really just a matter of being able to Miracle Fusion Nova Master. Evocator and Crusader are both 1900 attackers and the decks not running Honest so in my opinion there isn't a reason to run Crusader over Evocator.
The HERO deck is a deck that's on the rise as its capable of turning your opponents move against them with Super Poly and Control the field with cards like Heroes Blast and Gemini Spark. This deck even though its not running some good main deck cards is a example of just how potent the HERO archetype can be and when the dark attribute hero fusion is released hopefully this summer the deck is gonna join Inzektor,Wind-Up and Dino Rabbit in tier 1.
This is a blog where knowledge of Yu-Gi-Oh and opinions can be shared. Mario and Jon from SkillOverLuck on Youtube run this blog.

Hey guys, Raymond here filling in for Mario for the first time. LOL new to this so dont expect much.
I played Dino Rabbit today and it had a great results. 4 rounds today.
Round 1: Jordan (Wind-ups) 2-1
Game 1: He Open with the loop but ending up messing it cause he never did tribute his zenmightys to try to save them for later. That mistake cost him the game and i just ran him over.
Game 2: He successfully looped me and started to beat me down
Game 3: Rabbit. No answers. GG.
Round 2: Jammy (Fairys) 2-0
Game 1: was fairly quick because he wasn't running much to stop me. Brought out rabbit and won.
Game 2: Repeat game 1 ^
Round 3: Tom (Gravekeepers) 2-0
Game 1: Made laggia set 3 passed. he responded with setting a monster and 1 backrow. I summoned another rabbit and made dolka and it was game.
Game 2: I had MST to his 1 backrow and summoned Laggia. and ended so i wouldent hit spy cause i had set a warning. then next turn i drew into another rabbit!. Made dolka and it was game from there.
Round 4: Rori (Wind-ups) 0-2
Game 1: He opened Godly while i drew no maxx c?. gg.
Game 2: i drew into veiler and everything but he someone how storm and answers to all my cards and i dident draw 1 maxx c in the process of him pushing for game... Yeah. Sacked me hardd. (POA into bottomless and warning when i had cyber dragon)...
So i still ended up topping and top 4 was Me, Tom(GK), Bobby(GB), and Rori(W-U). It was Tom vs Rori and Me vs Bobby.
Me vs bobby:
Game 1: This game ended in 10 seconds, legit. He set 3 backrow and summoned mermillo. i openend storm and rabbit and i showed him the 2 cards and he scooped. In that hand i also had a POA, Warning, tourguide and Maxx C. Broke.
Game 2: We traded back and forth but in the end Snowman Eater was too good of a card for him to handle LOL. Also chariot is gay.
Me and top then split for 1st and 2nd. ended up getting $22.50 but since i beat tom already i technically got 1st ;). and RORI dident get 1st place so my job was done. that is my sole duty when im at a tourney and he is there. He CANNOT win. Good day.
Thats all for this week. Blog might be weak but ohwell deal with it.

Tournament Report 03/23/2012
It's a me, a Mario. I finally got around to going to a tournament, despite my busy school and work schedule. A bunch of card players decided to go to the shop, and a hold a tourament anyway, even though today is Friday. The tournament happened and it was pretty fun. I decided to play Dino Rabbit because I have the entire deck.
Round 1 vs Dimensional Eatos (2-0)
1 - First turn Rabbit into Laggia, with multiple backrow, was enough to seal this game for me. I made another Laggia a few turns later and he didn't have a response.
2 - This game did go back and forth a little. He topdecked an Eatos with no monsters in his graveyard half way through our game. I managed to summon a Utopia and ram it into Eatos. He then drew a Barbaros, but I drew Smashing Ground. I beat him down with Sabersaurus the remainder of the game.
Round 2 vs Infernities (2-0)
1 - He wasn't able to draw and dump enough monsters for him to explode. I had Laggia on the field for a few turns, but then I summoned Dolkka and that was it.
2 - He set 3 backrow and a monster. I played Heavy Storm and Rabbit; he scooped on his next turn.
Round 3 vs Inzektors (2-1)
I ended playing my Teammate, Raymond, and since next round was top 4, we were both guaranteed to top.
The whole match was pretty close. We went back and forth the entire match. I didn't get active Rabbits game 1 or 2. However, game 1 I still won because of Guaiba into Laggia. Game 2 was a little faster: no Rabbits and I got smashed by BLS. Game 3 I opened Rabbit, and kept being aggressive while he couldn't handle it.
Top 4 was myself, Raymond, Michael (Heroes) and a random Wind-Up player.
Round 4 vs Heroes (2-1)
1 - We both kept going back and forth this game. At the end I did have an active Laggia, but he played 2 Miracle Fusions...
2 - I summoned Rabbit and set 4 backrows. He couldn't fight past that.
3 - He summoned Neos Alius and set 2 traps. I played 2 MST from my hand, and then summoned Rabbit. He scooped shortly afterward.
Round 5 vs Inzektors
1 - I summoned a first turn Rabbit and set a few traps. I depleted his resources after a few turns and didn't seem to open that well.
2 - He wasn't able to pull any Inzektor comboes, and I had control of the game with Forbidden Lances and Fiendish Chains. I didn't draw Rabbit that game, but it didn't matter.
So I did go undefeated my first tournament in a while. Hopefully these Friday tournaments stay in place so I can actually compete in one tournament a week. Next week I may not be able to attend though... Anyway, Dino Rabbits is really good. Successfully summoning a Rabbit is just too good.

Tournament Report For March 17,2012
Hi boys and girls Michael here once again to provide another tournament report for you since Mario cant play cause of work..
Today I ran my Elemental HERO build again and was hoping to take my third straight top 4 finish. We had a 12 man tourney with a couple of good players one or two decent ones and some noobs.
Round 1 Vs Bushman (Flamvell) (2-0)
Game 1: I opened Stratos and set a Solemn Warning, he activated Heavy Storm but didn't summon a monster I won very shortly afterwards with Blade Armor Ninja.
Game 2: I hit him hard and fast with hero fusions he used Rekindling to get a Stardust out but it died quickly to my Nova Master. He activated Call of The Haunted to bring back Stardust but I used Super Polymerization to turn it into a Great Tornado and won a few turns later.
Round 2 Vs Sal (Tomato Control) (0-2)
Game 1: No drawing Super Polymerization or Miracle Fusion means no getting over Cyber Dragon or Chaos Sorcerer
Game 2: Read game 1
Round 3 vs Mac (???)
Game 1: This is the sad thing bout small tourneys playing bad players 3rd round cause they went 1-1 beforehand......anyway not much to say for this game i went for win fast with Blade Armor and Absolute Zero
Game 2: His only real move was synchroing for Catastor which i negated with Solemn Warning yay me. Shining for the win.
Round 4 vs Ryan Kane (Inzektor) (2-0)
Game 1: This was a long slow painful game cause neither of us were drawing anything, in order to get anything going i monster reborn his Card Trooper and milled till i finally drew a HERO (running 14 monsters this can happen alot) I was finally able to make some Miracle Fusion plays and take the win.
Game 2: He opened decent but i drew Miracle Fusion in my opening hand so we went back and forth till i was able to take the game with Great Tornado, after i had cut the attack of his Dark Armed Dragon in half.
So the top 4 was myself, Ryan, Rori (Wind-up) and Sal. After finally deciding to play for it I was paired up with Sal and Ryan got paired up with Rori.
Top 4 vs Sal (Tomato Control)
Game 1: This time my deck drew me my fusion spell cards and i was able to keep a steady pace and control for most of the duel Hero Blast came into play here as well.
Game 2: we traded back and forth for most of game 2 (probably our best game of our 4) the game ended when he had a face down Mystic Tomato and a face up Thunder King I summoned Elemental HERO Ocean attacked his face down Tomato which fetched his Summoner Monk unfortunately. I activated Super Polymerization fusing my Ocean and his Thunder King Rai-Oh to make Elemental HERO The Shining and Swung at the Summoner Monk for game. Good Games Sal!!!
On a side note I finished my game just in time to watch Ryan make a skilled Gozen Match play on Rori to win their game 3. Ryan and I decided to split for first with 17.50 each. I bought some Ra Yellow packs and pulled my final secret E-Emergency Call I need and Ryan pulled his third Hornet.
Even with the games where I drew bad hands I still feel really strongly about the Elemental HERO deck and its ability to hang with the top tier decks of this format. Super Polymerization is a broken card that really balances what your opponent can do. While I haven't tested this deck against Dino Rabbit yet I have been fairly successful against Wind-Ups and Inzektors and I feel that I should do well against Dino Rabbits as i can use Super Polymerization to counter the decks ability to summon Laggia or Dolkka.

My Heroes
In about 1 week, when I get my Super Polymerizations back, I will be putting together a Hero deck. This is roughly what the build will be, after much deliberation:
1 Stratos
3 Neos Alius
1 Ocean
3 Jurrac Guaiba
2 Thunder King
2 Veiler
3 Maxx "C"
3 MST
1 Reborn
1 Hole
2 Forbidden Lance
2 Gemini Spark
1 Book of Moon
1 Rota
2 Emergency Call
2 Duality
3 Miracle Fusion
3 Super Poly
1 Future Fusion
3 Fiendish Chain
2 Zero
3 Shining
2 Gaia
2 Nova Master
1 Great Tornado
1 Vision Hero Adoration
1 Stardust Dragon
1 Laggia
1 Dolkka
1 Utopia
This is a little different then a typical Hero build. The biggest difference is the inclusion of Jurrac Guaiba. I was discussing this with a few people, including the person who wrote the tournament report on Saturday, and it seems fairly effective. Being able to summon Laggia or Dolkka is a great move. Additionally, all these tech monsters are Fire type, which means I can summon Nova Master a little more. I love Nova Master because it is a draw engine when utilized effectively. Unfortunately I had to decrease the trap line because I included 3 Jurrac Guaiba, and 2 Forbidden Lance for additional assistance with getting off Guaiba's effect (Forbidden Lance is a great card in general). The only traps I'm including are 3 Fiendish Chain. I believe that Fiendish Chain is the best trap in the game currently. Now that I have a 3rd, I can play a playset, which makes me happy. I have a Stardust in the extra deck because I would be siding into Starlight Road.
So this is a potential build I'm going to playtest. However, there is this other build I was contemplating testing:
1 Stratos
3 Neos Alius
1 Ocean
1 Evolcater Chevalier
2 King Tiger Wanghu
2 Snowman Eater
3 Photon Saber Tiger
1 Morphing Jar
3 MST
2 Fusion Gate
2 Parallel Fusion
3 Super Poly
3 Pot of Duality
1 Rota
1 Emergency Call
1 Book of Moon
3 Dimensional Fissure
3 Macro Cosmos
3 Fiendish Chain
1 Return from the Different Dimension
2 Zero
3 Shining
1 Nova Master
1 Great Tornado
2 Gaia
1 Vision Hero Adoration
1 Starlight Road
2 Leviair
1 Zenmaines
1 Utopia
In my last post I discussed including Macro in certain decks because it works well with certain decks, while destroying Inzektors and hurting Wind-Ups to an extent. Snowman Eater is a good card, defensively, and Photon Saber Tiger gathers other Tigers. Either way, both those monsters contribute to Leviair, which will summon your banished Heroes, and enables easier Fusion Summons. Parallel World Fusion and Return from the D.D. also help with Fusion Summons. King Tiger is there for an Earth monster that is strong against Inzektors and Wind Ups. Morphing Jar is Earth, and a great draw card, and can really cripple your opponent by banishing all the monsters in their hand. Of course, I'm keeping the 3 Fiendish Chain in there as an absolute staple, since I can't effectively play Veiler of Maxx "C" in this deck.
Anyway, I will definitely be testing both of these builds, with minor adjustments as I go along. I love Heroes: I have since their existance. The deck appears to be really good, since it can tackle the metagame. Let's see where the playtesting goes.
1 Stratos

Updated List of Decks Wish to Build
Even though currently I'm extremely busy with school and my new job... and moving shortly... I'm still going to be building decks and playtesting when I'm not busy. These are decks I'm going to be fiddling around with:
Wind-Ups: Yeah, the deck is really good. I like my particular version of the deck where I almost always loop first turn, but I want to try more control versions of the deck as well.
Inzektors: Another deck I have the cards for. I'm going to be trying all sorts of variants of the deck; everywhere from the standard to the crazy builds.
Dino-Rabbit: As soon as I get 3 rescue rabbits I'm all over this deck...
T.G. Stun: This deck is definitely still playable and there is so much tech I want to try as well, like Photon Saber Tigers.
Gallis: I will always be popping back and forth between variants of this deck. My ideal build will have 3 Metaion, the Timelord, because that card with Gallis is just retarded.
Dragons: I like this deck, but despise it at the same time. It requires monsters in the graveyard as fast as possible, and if you can't draw any acceleration it becomes an issue. The deck is really easy to side against too. However, I do want to give this deck some love.
Six Samurai: It seems better with 2 Smoke Signal...
X-Sabers: There are a few variants of this deck I want to try as well, control and explosive versions.
Heroes: This deck has great cards: Gemini Spark, Super Polymerization... The Fusions are amazing for the most part as well.
Scraps: I finally have the whole deck in my possession again. Innovating the deck to tackle the metagame more thoroughly with cards like King Tiger Wanghu spark my interest in the deck.
Flamvells: This is the most synchro-explosive deck we have now, because of 3 Rekindling. I'm playing this as my plant-substitute :( ... The deck can also main Wanghu and Horn of the Phantom Beast, along with other Beasts potentially, so it's a good deck.
Agent Variants: Agents are still playable, even though Earth is at 1, because the deck still has too many boss monsters...
Macro Variants: Macro can be teched into almost half of the above decks successfully. Macro Cosmos breaks Inzektors and cripples Wind-Ups.
So yeha, these are my current ideas. Since I can't do many tournament reports because I am busy with work and school, expect a rise in duel videos! Also, let me know if you liked how someone else wrote the tournament report on saturday. If it's popular I'll get people to write them, if I can't participate in a tournament myself.

Tournament Report and Deck Analysis for March 10,2012
Hey Michael here filling in for my unofficial trainer Mario to give you all a tournament report on my day at our local tournament.
Today we had a twelve person four round tournament with a top 4. I was running a Elemental HERO super poly build that has taken me to a top 4 finish at last weeks box tournament. I had borrowed 3 Maxx C and 2 Fiendish Chains from Mario and felt really strong going into today's tournament.
This is my current build
Monsters 14
3 Elemental HERO Neos Alius
3 Maxx C
2 Thunder King
2 Effect Veiler
1 Elemental HERO Ocean
1 Evocator Chevalier
1 Elemental HERO Stratos
1 Elemental HERO Bubbleman
Spells 16
3 Miracle Fusion
3 Super Polymerization
2 Mystical Space Typhoon
2 E-Emergency Call
1 Dark Hole
1 Heavy Storm
1 Monster Reborn
1 Book of Moon
1 Reinforcements of the Army
1 Parallel World Fusion
Traps 10
2 Solemn Warning
2 Hero Blast
2 Fiendish Chain
2 Torrential Tribute
1 Solemn Judgment
1 Mirror Force
Extra Deck 15
2 Elemental HERO Shining
2 Elemental HERO Absolute Zero
2 Elemental HERO Great Tornado
2 Blade Armor Ninja
1 Elemental HERO Nova Master
1 Elemental HERO Gaia
1 Dragon Knight Draco-Equiste
1 Brionac
1 Stardust
1 Scrap
1 Utopia
Round 1 Vs Dave Bush (Flamvell??) (2-0)
Game 1: He opens DD warrior lady and some back row. I summoned Stratos searched for Neos Alius setting a super poly and a solemn warning. He set another card and said go, I drew Mystical Space Typhoon on his set Solemn Warning and summoned Neos Alius to which he activated Bottomless which I chained Super Polymerization to fuse his DD Warrior Lady with my Neos Alius to make The Shining. The game ended shortly afterward.
Game 2: Don't remember much of this game only that he tried to attack with my mind controlled Blade Armor Ninja. I won with the Blade Armor Ninja and Absolute Zero.
Round 2 vs James O'Neill (Blackwing) (2-1)
Game 1: This was a quick game as he wasn't drawing monsters I won after a few turns.
Game 2: This was a back and forth game with us both dealing alot of damage before he finally got the upper hand after i couldn't draw into a Miracle Fusion.
Game 3: This was very much like the first game he couldn't draw into monsters while i had a steady stream of heroes to break through his traps a well timed Hero Blast on his Blizzard gave me the edge to win the game.
Round 3 Vs Austin (Lightsworn) (2-0)
Game 1: He made some weird plays using Lyla and Mage Power, after a Mystical Space Typhoon and a Blade Armor Ninja I was able to win.
Game 2: He made some moves to which i had counters for i won the game with a Absolute Zero and The Shining.
Round 4 Vs Rori (Wind-Up) (0-2)
Not alot to say about this one i opened bad and he looped me both games.
So the top four consisted of myself, Ryan Kane with Final Countdown, Rori with Wind-Up, and Nick Holland with Gladiator Beast. We all decided to play instead of going for the split.
Top 4 vs Nick (Gladiator Beast) (2-0)
Game 1: We traded attacks back and forth till I was able to secure the win with Blade Armor Ninja.
Game 2: He tried alot of Gyzarus plays which i had the answers for. Nova Master, Shining and the mvp of the day Blade Armor Ninja won me this game.
Top 2 Vs Rori (Wind-Up) (2-0)
This was the complete opposite of our earlier game as he couldn't get the hand loop off and i overwhelmed him with my Elemental Heroes and well timed Super Polymerization's.
So I took first place and 30 dollars in store credit with my favorite deck. When the dark Elemental HERO fusion is released in the summer i feel that this deck will balance the meta very nicely as being able to Super Polymerization every deck in the format will really add to the counter plays that your traps and hand traps would normally have to deal with.

Inzektors and Tour Guide
So the recent YCS showed that the top Inzektor players were fond of using the Tour Guide engine in their decks. However a lot of players are unsure whether this engine is truly beneficial for the deck. I've done some extrensive playtesting with the deck over the past few days, with and without Tour Guides, so I give my opinion on this ongoing debate.
Tour Guide searches Sangan, and Sangan can search your Dragonfly or Hornet, whatever one you need in your hand. Tour Guide is also capable of making Leviair, which can being a back a banished Dragonfly or Hornet. Your opponent might even Veiler your Tour Guide so that your Dragonfly play is successful, you never know...
Triple Call of the Haunted makes Tour Guide a lot better as well. You can continuously summon that Sangan and search exactly what you need, whether it's another Inzektor card, or a Veiler or Maxx "C". Triple COTH is just so good... but that's a different blog on a different day.
Tour Bus is definitely an interesting tech idea when considering this engine. It returns Centipede or Giga-Mantis to the deck if you save your Foolish Burial for it, and that can create a more explosive combo. Tour Bus also can screw over your opponent in the mirror match, as well as slightly hurting Wind-Ups and a few other rouge decks. However drawing it can suck if you don't have Allure of Darkness.
Speaking of Allure of Darkness, 3 Tour Guides, Tour Bus if you choose to play it, and Sangan are all targets for Allure. And as I mentioned, easy access to Leviair means you can potentially summon a Tour Guide, make a Leviair, and summon a banished Dragonfly because of Allure, and then proceed to destroy your opponent.
The only real peoblem with this engine is the space it takes up. 4 or 5 cards out of a deck is a lot, and for someone like me who won't make a deck over 40 cards, it poses a problem. People may pick cards like Thunder King, Ryko and Card Trooper. They aren't bad picks at all, especially Card Trooper with 3 COTH... amazing synergy...
Anyway, in conclusion, Tour Guide in the deck definitely has its advantages, but the engine is by no means a staple for the deck. When I get around to playing Inzektors at a Locals I will definitely using 3 Tour Guides and Sangan, potentially Tour Bus.

Winding-Up for Victory
This title is very corny...
Anyway, today I'm going to write about Wind-Ups, since a few people have asked me to write about it. This is probably my favourite Tier 1 deck right now, because it is so explosive, kinda like Plants... The deck is not really skill-based if you open with a hand able to hand-loop your opponent. However, if you do not open with such a hand then the deck becomes very skill-based, since you have to play the right cards until you can explode. This is the deck I used on Saturday (Maybe not exactly, since I did change the deck since the tournament, but I think this is it, or pretty close).
3 Tour Guide
1 Tour Bus
1 Sangan
3 Wind-Up Rat
2 Wind-Up Hunter
3 Wind-Up Shark
3 Wind-Up Magician
2 Wind-Up Rabbit
2 Gilasaurus
2 Spell Striker
1 Veiler
2 Maxx "C"
3 MST
1 Storm
1 Reborn
1 Dark Hole
2 Wind-Up Factory
1 Foolish Burial
1 Pot of Avarice
1 Reinforcements of the Army
1 Prohibition
3 Royal Decree
3 Carrier Zenmaity
1 Zenmaines
2 Leviair
1 Giga-Brilliant
2 Leviathan Dragon
1 Utopia
1 Tirus
1 Adreus
1 Arsenal Zenmaioh
1 Armory Arm
1 Chimeratech Fortress Dragon
Now the explanations for my odd cards for the deck:
Firstly, I play 2 Wind-Up Hunter when over half of the top YCS decks in the past weeks have only played 1 Hunter. I like to use 2 because, depending on the hand, you can send an extra card in your opponent's hand to the grave if a second Hunter is in the deck or hand. I had a few moments on the weekend where that second hunter came in handy. Also, 2 Hunters is better games 2 and 3 because opponents will try and banish Hunters with Crows. Hvaing a second Hunter ready to go if you can't afford to make Leviair is really strong.
Secondly, I play 2 Gilasaurus and 2 Spell Striker. These cards help make Zenmaity a lot easier. I also run the one random ROTA to search Spell Striker (then I can special summon it...)
Thirdly, I play a random Prohibition to prevent Veiler of Maxx "C" from wrecking my plays, by declaring either Veiler of Maxx "C". I barely saw it on the weekend, though. Prohibtion seems to be much better suited for a Regionals...
Fourthly, I main 3 Royal Decrees. This card did help me in quite a few match-ups, especially against Chain Burn... Originally, I was playing an additional Veiler, Maxx "C" and Factory over the Decrees. However, I decided Royal Decree was better against the majority of my local meta, so I played them.
Fifthly, In my extra deck I play 2 Leviairs. I did this just in case I would be playing Macro, or in case people would start banishing my cards game 2 and 3. I did get out 1, but I never felt the need for 2. Again, 2 of them seems more like a Regionals pick over a local pick.
Finally, I played Armory Arm. I can make it because I play Veiler, and Armory Arm did won me an actual match recently, because I needed the extra 1000 attack points.
Now I will go over some of the cards you want to see in your hand that work really well in the deck, and do some pretty retarded moves.
Tour Guide + another summonable lv 3 monster - Open with this and you can automatically send 4 cards from your opponents hand to the grave if they don't have a response, and if you play Tour Bus.
Tour Guide + Monster Reborn - All 5 cards will be discarded if you play 2 Hunters.
Magician + Shark - 4 cards can be sent to the graveyard.
Rabbit + Factory - You caa search a lot of Wind-Up monsters this way, preferably Magician and Shark
Avarice - If you start going off, and you have Avarice in hand, you win.
Those are the most retarded moves. There are a lot more things you can do with the deck. On a final note, for those who are actually looking to make Wind-Ups, the deck doesn't need Tour Guide. The Tour Guide engine definitely does make the deck a lot more consistent, but it isn't necessary, and the deck is already expensive enough. That's all for Wind-Ups. It's a deck that I will keep going back to over the next 3 months. If you have any questions, let me know.

Box Tournament Report 03/03/2012
It just so happens that the first Local tournament of the format was a box tournament. 1st place won a sealed box of ORCS, 2nd got 10 packs, 3rd got 8 and 4th got 6 packs. I decided to play a unique version of Wind-Ups, similar to the version I played a few weeks ago. The tournament consisted of 5 rounds and then Top 4.
Round 1 vs Crystal Beasts (2-0)
1 - He set a monster and ended. I summoned Tour Guide first turn. I summoned Tour Bus and made a Zenmaity. Basically I sent 4 cards from his hand to the graveyard. He survived for a little bit longer but eventually I pushed through him with Leviathan Dragon.
2 - He went first, set a monster and backrow. I opened Tour Guide again and removed another 4 cards from his hand. Same story as last match.
Round 2 vs Dark World (2-0)
1 - He set a monster and a bunch of backrow. I couldn't explode right away so I set a monster and a Royal Decree. During the end phase his MST destroyed it. He exploded next turn with his set Morphing Jar, and thinned out his deck a lot in the process with all the draw cards and searching, and his explosion resulted in my losing almost 5000 life points that turn, and an activated Deck Devestation Virus depleted most of my hand. I had Dark Hole to destroy all of his monsters and for the next three turns we both didn't draw anything usuable, but he did draw a Trance Archfiend attacked. I managed to eventually explode with what little cards had left and won.
2 - He summoned Trance Archfiend, played Gates of Dark World, and set the rest of his hand. I couldn't immediately explode on my first turn, so I set a monster and a Royal Decree, and destroyed it with MST again. He didn't do too much on his next turn, and then I exploded on my next turn and he scooped the turn after.
Round 3 vs Lightsworns (2-0)
1 - He summoned an Ehren and a trap on his first turn. I drew and played MST, then summoned Tour Guide and preceded to deplete his entire hand. He scooped.
2 - He summoned Thunder King and set some traps. I summoned Tour Guide into Tour Guide and summoned Leviathan Dragon, which was negated by Thunder King. He summoned Lyla and attacked. I summoned another Tour Guide into Sangan and made a Zenmaines. On his turn, he used Solar Recharge to thin out the deck and mill a Wulf, then special summoned it. He summoned a Lumina and discarded a card to attempt to summon Ehren. I chained Maxx "C" to Lumina's effect to draw 1 card. Ehren attacked my Zenmaines and bounced it. Then I took direct damage from Lumina, Wulf and Lyla. Next turn I did explode, and at the end of turn his field was empty, and my field consisted of Tirus, Zenmaines, Zemaity and Utopia. He scooped next turn.
Round 4 vs Inzektors (2-1)
Unfortunately I don't remember this match all that well. But I won anyway. Bast match of the day.
Round 5 vs Chain Burn (2-0)
Both games I drew Royal Decree and that really helped...
Top 4 consisted of myself, the previous two players and a Hero player.
Round 6 vs Heroes (2-0)
1 - This is the first match I have actually went first. Unfortunately I couldn't loop his hand but I did summon a Wind-Up Rabbit and Zenmaity. He went, summoned Neos Alius and destroyed Zenmaity by battle. On my next turn I played Heavy Storm, but he activated Super Polymerization to summoned Gaia with his Neos Alius and my Rabbit. I was able to discard the rest of the cards in his hand that turn, and I killed his Gaia. He stayed alive for a few more turns but I did end up winning.
2 - He went first and summoned Stratos, but I had the Veiler to stop his effect. On my turn I discarded his entire hand with the help of Pot of Avarice. I won a couple turns later.
Since my teammate won (Inzektors) we decided to split the prize. I was fine with that because 34 packs is good, and we did pull good stuff. It's nice that I went undefeated the first Locals of the format though.
