In about 1 week, when I get my Super Polymerizations back, I will be putting together a Hero deck. This is roughly what the build will be, after much deliberation:
1 Stratos
3 Neos Alius
1 Ocean
3 Jurrac Guaiba
2 Thunder King
2 Veiler
3 Maxx "C"
3 MST
1 Reborn
1 Hole
2 Forbidden Lance
2 Gemini Spark
1 Book of Moon
1 Rota
2 Emergency Call
2 Duality
3 Miracle Fusion
3 Super Poly
1 Future Fusion
3 Fiendish Chain
2 Zero
3 Shining
2 Gaia
2 Nova Master
1 Great Tornado
1 Vision Hero Adoration
1 Stardust Dragon
1 Laggia
1 Dolkka
1 Utopia
This is a little different then a typical Hero build. The biggest difference is the inclusion of Jurrac Guaiba. I was discussing this with a few people, including the person who wrote the tournament report on Saturday, and it seems fairly effective. Being able to summon Laggia or Dolkka is a great move. Additionally, all these tech monsters are Fire type, which means I can summon Nova Master a little more. I love Nova Master because it is a draw engine when utilized effectively. Unfortunately I had to decrease the trap line because I included 3 Jurrac Guaiba, and 2 Forbidden Lance for additional assistance with getting off Guaiba's effect (Forbidden Lance is a great card in general). The only traps I'm including are 3 Fiendish Chain. I believe that Fiendish Chain is the best trap in the game currently. Now that I have a 3rd, I can play a playset, which makes me happy. I have a Stardust in the extra deck because I would be siding into Starlight Road.
So this is a potential build I'm going to playtest. However, there is this other build I was contemplating testing:
1 Stratos
3 Neos Alius
1 Ocean
1 Evolcater Chevalier
2 King Tiger Wanghu
2 Snowman Eater
3 Photon Saber Tiger
1 Morphing Jar
3 MST
2 Fusion Gate
2 Parallel Fusion
3 Super Poly
3 Pot of Duality
1 Rota
1 Emergency Call
1 Book of Moon
3 Dimensional Fissure
3 Macro Cosmos
3 Fiendish Chain
1 Return from the Different Dimension
2 Zero
3 Shining
1 Nova Master
1 Great Tornado
2 Gaia
1 Vision Hero Adoration
1 Starlight Road
2 Leviair
1 Zenmaines
1 Utopia
In my last post I discussed including Macro in certain decks because it works well with certain decks, while destroying Inzektors and hurting Wind-Ups to an extent. Snowman Eater is a good card, defensively, and Photon Saber Tiger gathers other Tigers. Either way, both those monsters contribute to Leviair, which will summon your banished Heroes, and enables easier Fusion Summons. Parallel World Fusion and Return from the D.D. also help with Fusion Summons. King Tiger is there for an Earth monster that is strong against Inzektors and Wind Ups. Morphing Jar is Earth, and a great draw card, and can really cripple your opponent by banishing all the monsters in their hand. Of course, I'm keeping the 3 Fiendish Chain in there as an absolute staple, since I can't effectively play Veiler of Maxx "C" in this deck.
Anyway, I will definitely be testing both of these builds, with minor adjustments as I go along. I love Heroes: I have since their existance. The deck appears to be really good, since it can tackle the metagame. Let's see where the playtesting goes.
