I originally planned to go to an ORCS sneak peek but that plan fell apart. Therefore, I decided to go to Locals since I wanted some card game action. Anyway, I decided to play T.G. Stun for a couple of reasons. I want to play a different deck every week, and I liked the way this deck flowed during playtesting.
Round 1 vs Newbie Flamvell (2-0)
I obviously won. He played bad cards and didn't draw Rekindling.
Round 2 vs Tour Guide Chaos Agents (2-0)
1 - He opened double Shine Ball, but he went first, summoned a Venus and all his balls anyways. He didn't draw any traps at all. Throughout the next few turns and a couple Hyperions later I defeated with a few traps and some T.G. plays.
2 - He went first and went Earth into Venus. I go, summon Tengu and kill the Earth. I set the rest of my hand, and one of those cards was a Skill Drain. Another was Horn of the Phantom Beast. And the other notable card was Starlight Road to negate his Heavy Storm. I clearly won.
Round 3 vs Mystic Piper (2-1)
Simply put, all these games were very close. Game 3 I won because of double Skill Drain though, and a lot of traps. I don't remember exactly what happened this match.
Round 4 vs Non-Chaos Agents
1 - He won this one because he had Kristya and Thunder King to stop my T.G. searches, and I didn't draw any Skill Drains even though I went through half my deck by the end of the game.
2 - Double Horn of the Phantom Beast and King Tiger Wanghu kills Agents if you can protect it. I did...
3 - That game I had two Dimensional Fissures and King Tiger with a bunch of traps to stop some of his plays. He couldn't remove all my Tigers or Fissures, and his hand contained Veiler, Honest and Herald of Orange Light. I beat him down with Tigers and won.
After this I was in the Top 4, along with the Agent player I beat, a Chaos Agent player and a Fabled player. We decided to split and that was that. I didn't have a problem with that because it means I have gone undefeated 4 tournaments in a row. Kinda happy about that.
In addition to that, the shop might be starting tournaments on Wednesday nights. It would be great to have two tournaments a week, more card games are nice. I also did a bunch of trading which is good. All in all it was a good tournament.
