I decided to play Chaos Agents at my first Locals of the new year. All the regular Agent players were present and I only played this deck to defeat the other Agent players... no offence. Anyway, this is the report:
Round 1 vs Machina Gadget (2-1)
1 - I started with a first-turn Venus play and set Bottomless Trap Hole. He started by discarding two Machina Fortress to summon one, which got removed by Bottomless. He had the Monster Reborn for the other one, summoned it, attacked and set a few traps. On my turn I decided to use Heavy Storm and he negated with Starlight Road and summoned a Stardust Dragon. Things started falling apart from that point and I lost.
2 - Thunder King shut him down for the most of the game. By the time he removed it, I had enough resources to win.
3 - Pretty much the same as the last game.
Round 2 vs Chain Burn (2-0)
Both games I had Archlord Kristya and Thunder King which helped stop Battle Faders and Pot of Duality. Game 2 my sided cards ensured my victory: Debunks, Dark Bribes and Hanewata!
Round 3 vs T.G. Agents (2-0)
I can't exactly remember what happened this match. He barely made any T.G. plays and I had answers for everything he did.
Round 4 vs Chaos Agents (2-1)
1 - He defeated me very early with Trishula, Kristya and Hyperion in one turn.
2 - He drew into multiple Shine Balls but I drew into 2 Hyperions and a Kristya. Fortunately I also had Thunder King, and this inflicted a lot of damage. When he got rid of it a few turns later I had an Earth, and the turn after I clearly won.
3 - I had control of the game for the most part. There's nothing he did I didn't have an answer to. I won by using Leeching the Light on his BLS.
Outside of myself, the top 4 consisted of the T.G. Agent player, the Chaos Agent player, and a Non-Chaos Agent player. We were the only 4 Agent players and we were the only wons who topped today... how sad. From this point on, only the best Agent player would become the ultimate winner!!
Round 5 vs Non-Chaos Agents (2-1)
1 - My opening hand was 3 Hyperion, 1 Earth, 1 Monster Reborn and 1 Sangan. He went first, summoned his Earth and searched Venus. I went, and he negated my Earth with Herald of Orange Light. I summoned Hyperion and he had a Warning. I used Monster Reborn to bring it back and it dealt some damage. On his turn, he used Dark Hole to destroy my Hyperion, then summoned it with his Monster Reborn. He then summed Venus and made the usual Gachi-Gachi play. I had nothing to survive with.
2 - I messed him up with a Thunder King and my sided Banisher of the Radiance. He couldn't remove them so I won.
3 - Game 3 was the closest game of the day. We went back and forth for a while and he ended up with BLS, Venus and Gachi-Gachi with a set Magic Cylinder. On my turn, I used Monster Reborn on an Earth, summoned Venus and followed with 2 Shine Balls. I made Trishula and removed his Magic Cylinder. I used Leeching the Light and attacked for game. If I didn't remove the Cylinder I would've lost because I only had 1300 life points left.
Round 6 vs T.G. Agents (2-1)
I don't exactly remember this match either. All I know is that he summoned a BLS every game, and Banisher of the Radiance messed him up for a while.
So yeah, I won the tournament and $35 store credit. I think that's all for today.
