Tournament Report 02/11/2012

Sorry it took me so long to write this. Anyway, I played Plant Synchro on saturday, now that I was able to include Tour Bus from the Underworld. It's a good card.

Round 1 vs Newbie Dragunities (2-0)

I beat him really fast...

Round 2 vs Inzektors (1-2)

1 - He beat me with normal Inzektor plays, and I got beat pretty quickly because I didn't have any responses. (On a sidenote, I realized a day later after asking someone that my opponent made an illegal play that could've changed the outcome of the game. Oh well.)
2 - I had answers for his plays so I won.
3 - I managed to stop all of his inzektor plays. Eventually, he played Allure of Darkness, and he drew and Summoned a BLS, and that killed me. BLS has to be banned...

Round 3 vs Newbie ???..... (2-0)

I beat him so fast that I didn't have enough time to figure out what deck he was playing...

Round 4 vs Lightsworns (2-0)

1 - I summoned a Trishula on my second turn and removed his Gorz in hand, Necro Gardna on the field, and random Lightsworn monster in the grave. He couldn't recover from that.
2 - I made a Trishula turn 2 again, after he played Charge and 2 Solar Recharge. Trishula and Tour Bus helped me keep 4 Lightsworn monsters out of the graveyard, and he couldn't get any more in the graveyard, so he couldn't summon the 3 Judgment Dragons he had in his hand...

Round 5 vs Blackwings (2-0)

1 - I exploded turn 2 and won.
2 - I had answers for everything he did, and I beat him to death with my Librarian. Tour Bus returned his Vayu to his deck which really helped.

So I squeezed into top 4, along with the Inzektor player, and 2 other Plant decks. We split for Top 4, and that was that.

Anyway, from this tournament, I've re-confirmed my thought that BLS has to be banned. Honestly, the card is retarded and overpowered. Also, I've thought of a deck idea that should handle the Tier 1 meta currently. I plan on testing it on Wednesday, as I have to decide soon what I'm going to play for Regionals on the 26th.
