Tournament Report 05/25/2012

I decided to attend my Locals this week with a fun deck. Playing Dino-Rabbit for the last few weeks straight was necessary for practice. However now that Regionals is over, I decided to play Dragon Draw Exodia.

Round 1 vs Final Countdown (2-0)

Self-explanatory because I don't think 20 turns is required to draw all 5 pieces of Exodia...

Round 2 vs Ninja Chaos Dragons (2-1)

Game 1 I ran out of draw cards, which meant I got destroyed by dragons. Games 2 and 3 I drew all 5 pieces within a few of my turns. I controlled the duels with One Day of Peace.

Round 3 vs Chaos Dragons (2-1)

Game 1 I never drew a One Day of Peace so I lost to normal chaos Dragon swarming. Game 2 was really close. It was my opponent's turn and I had 4 pieces in my hand. He would've killed me, but I had a set Reckless Greed which drew me into the 5th piece. Game 3 I controlled him with One Day of Peace until I drew all 5 pieces.

Round 4 vs Malefic Geartown (2-0)

I drew Exodia fairly early on the first game. Game 2 I controlled my opponent with One Day of Piece and eventually won. I'm happy I played this game because I realized how little Dimensional Fissure and Macro Cosmos hurt this deck. All it stops are my Blue-Eyes searches and the second effect of Dragon Ravine.

Top 4 was determined at this point, but we all decided to split, which was fine. Going undefeated with Exodia is hilarious. Exodia Obliterate!!!
